For the past 3 years, smidapaper has passionately brought the “scrapbook life”  to enthusiastic memory keepers in Penang, Malaysia. Many have come from neighboring states & countries to share in this pursuit, this art. As much as we have loved running our stores & teaching people how to document their everyday moments, through classes & workshops, we came to a realization;
scrapbookers , like us, scrapbook because we love our families. And in the process of doing the business, all of us involved were compromising a huge chunk of our lives. Apart from that we also realized that there was way more stuff than we needed to create meaningful records & mementos of our lives.

And so, we set about to find balance & to simplify and the natural progression was to work on an online store. Not just another online store with a million products to buy, but a place where you could go to that is simple, pleasing & helpful. At shop@smidapaper, we intend to provide the same friendly and sincere service, free ideas & tips, kits that really work and take the guesswork out of matching, as well as providing savings, instead of buying many packages of products for one project, everything you need will be in one handy kit.

At shop@smidapaper you will find tools, basics & supplies, some new stuff, of course… we search for the best products, products which we will try, products we work with and enjoy & put them up, usually with ‘how tos’ & descriptions to help you decide if you would want to work or play with them too. On our bookshelf we will share book reviews. Our ever popular bargain counter will be a permanent feature on our site , at our weekend store  hardly anyone leaves without something from our bargain trolley =).

I know there will be some who will miss coming down to the weekend store to see & feel & touch the lovely supplies before buying. From time to time we will offer “shopping days”, this is when you can come on over and pick out what you want. Sign up for our e mail updates!
As for ‘live classes’, these will still happen occasionally, again, sign up for updates.
Other services include personalized cards for special occasions {available soon} and ready made ‘one of a kind’ cards as well.

If you live in Kuala Lumpur, you will be happy to know that our friends at Cziplee Bangsar are expanding. They have kindly included us in their new set up, just across the street from their main store, next to 7 Eleven, in the heart of Bangsar.
